You will be asked on June 5th for your vote in Dail, MEP and Council elections.

Perhaps ask the citizen you voted for last time or would vote for next time:

1. That the County Manager confirm that he will adhere to his March ’08 written commitment to ‘make every effort to avoid disruption’ and commence the finishing of the green at the back of Sandyford Hall estate immediately. The pipe laying is complete between the letter box at the entrance and the new opening into Aiken’s village.
You can revisit this Council commitment posted by one of our neighbours at
[kilternan.blogspot.com]

2. That the County Manager now agrees that no more soil, old road surface, small stones, pipes or bitumen (to be used every day for the next 18 months in 7 km.s of pipe laying) will be dumped hourly in the Sandyford Hall Estate.

3. That the County Manager confirms in writing that the coming water pumping station will not suddenly ‘move’ out of Aikens village and into the Sandyford Hall estate (even if the Aiken’s village private developer would naturally welcome that).

4. That the County Manager confirms in writing that this ‘unusual’ fenced off public green will never ‘evolve’ into a road even if the private businessperson/developer in Aiken’s village wants this to occur. (Would enhance apartments for sale radically)

In the past the county manager has cited ‘change of use’ to make surprising choices. If your green has not been a green for 1 to 2 years that may be argued as ‘change of use’ and thus ‘not need’ planning approval. For a recent example of what may well lie ahead see:
www.herald.ie/national-news/city-news/councillor-risks-arrest-at-car-park-protest-1583082.html

5. That the Council confirms that areas for future work on the green space - such as the pedestrian opening to Aikens’ village, drainage, electrical work be refenced off and out of respect for the voters of Sandyford Hall that that all future work be undertaken only from the Aiken’s village building site.

The council answers to the Councillors and TD’s, these citizens answer to those who vote them into office. Do not underestimate your very real input into this matter. A residents association is always a great asset but an individual voter is listened to very carefully by those who rely on our votes to undertake public service. Every vote counts.

that Evening Herald article above may come up more easily with this

[herald.ie]

On the DLRCOCO Council map above at kilternan.blogspot.com the pumping station is recorded as coming to the Sandyford Hall estate?

on www.tomKitt.ie Deputy Kitt refers to 'pumping stations at Stillorgan reservoir and Sandyford Hall estate'

if like me you are a floating voter, it is helpful to keep yourself informed
