Lisieux Hall development
Date: September 23, 2016 01:30AM
Plans were submitted to the county council last month to develop the Lisieux hall gardens (the heritage house with the nice gardens behind the wall at our roundabout) into 5 story apartment blocks and high density housing.

The county council planner’s report on the proposed development was issued yesterday and it raised a number of concerns and action points for the developer however the report itself is fine with the development of the 5 story apartment blocks even though 27 objections from residents were received relating to excessive height of the apartment blocks, loss of privacy, to the traffic problems that may come.

Our neighbours in the Gallops and Leopardstown Heights are unhappy about it.

Any thoughts here concerning its impact on Sandyford hall? It may be harder to get out of the estate in the morning and more cars will be parking near the shops.

Lisieux Hall was granted planning permission last week, after 30 objections from residents in Sandyford Hall and Leopardstown Heights. Assuming there is no successful appeal to an board pleanala, construction will start in the next few months. Expect diggers, cranes, builders cars and construction noise around Sandyford Hall. More pressure on parking spaces in Sandyford hall. We will have a new skyline too , with a 5 storey apartment block at the roundabout into our estate.
