DLRCC Parks dept Rear Green work Date: July 31, 2011 12:40AM
Dear Resident
The landscaping contractor for the DLRCC Parks dept will be fencing off the rear green again during the 2nd week of August to undertake remediation work to remedy the poor job that was done in restoring the green following the High water level scheme works.
The work will take 2-3 weeks to complete and following this it will be an additional 2-3 weeks for the new grass to establish itself before the fences are taken down.
While we obviously welcome this work being done we would have appreciated if maybe it could have been done later or earlier in the year. Our Summer event which was a great success last year is to go ahead this year on the 28th August but we are moving the location to the front green.
