There was a great buzz in SandyfordHall estate on Halloween night
A great sense of community with hundreds of children some with the parents in tow all celebrating the occasion
It was great to see everybody enjoying themselves
The children were very well behaved and polite.
I'm sure most of the parents want them to growup on a decent estate.
It would be great to see the community taking an interest in the future development of the estate .
Unfortunately at the moment there seems to be a complete lack of interest in the newly formed Residents Association
despite their best efforts to encourage people to join and participate in said association.
There was a leaflet drop and a sign posted at the entrance of the estate notifying people of the Residents annual meeting,
unfortunately this was poorly attended.
It seems to me that people need to wake up and take some responsibilty for the area we live in.
One idea to get more people interested might be that instead of holding the AGM we should have meetings every 4 months
to address issues concerning the estate.
